The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2025 in Los Angeles County , while total sales increased by 98.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2025, 16,762 homes were sold in the county, with sale prices averaging $890,000. This is a 1.6% decrease from the $904,500 median sale price during the same period in 2024, when there were 8,449 homes sold.

Based on the latest available data from 2022, the median property tax in Los Angeles County was $5,297, which stands at 0.6% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2025.

U.S. home prices continued to rise in 2025, with the national median reaching about $447,000 in June. That’s up 1.13% from a year earlier, according to Redfin. The data also show a significant gap in supply and demand, with 36% more sellers than buyers (a difference of 508,715 homes).
