On Saturday, March 8, former Quartz Hill High School standout Maya McPherson’s current college team, the Western Carolina Catamounts, won 8-5 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Norfolk State Spartans.
The game took place at Terry Field. This was their first matchup against the Spartans this season.
The Catamounts’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 9 at 12:30 p.m. at Terry Field against Winthrop Eagles.
