On Tuesday, April 15, former Quartz Hill High School standout Maya McPherson’s current college team, the Western Carolina Catamounts, lost 16-3 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the USC Upstate Spartans.

The game took place at Cyrill Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Upstate Spartans this season.

The Catamounts’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 18 at 4 p.m. at Sikes Field against Mercer Bears.
