On April 26, Representative Mike Garcia (CA-27) issued the following statement after the House voted to pass the Limit, Save, Grow Act:
“The Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023 is a step in the right direction for ending the bad spending habits that we have seen in Congress during the last three years. This bill includes $4.8 trillion in savings, claws back billions of unspent COVID dollars, lowers energy costs for the American people while increasing domestic energy production, and repeals the additional funding for the 87,000 additional IRS agents as part of the far left’s misnamed Inflation Reduction Act. Lastly, this bill protects Social Security and Medicare, and will not have a negative impact on veteran benefits – all three I have stated I will always protect throughout this debt ceiling negotiation process,” said Garcia.
